The First-Step® course is designed to support your baby’s development throughout their first year of life and to support you as a parent. This is a unique opportunity to grow alongside your baby, deepen your understanding of their needs and build meaningful connections - both with your child and with a community of parents experiencing the same journey. In our weekly sessions you will learn activities and games that support your baby’s motor, sensory and cognitive development. Each meeting includes a conversation on a topic relevant to your baby’s current stage helping you better understand their world and their needs. During free play I will observe each baby and offer personalized feedback based on their abilities. You’ll also have opportunity to connect with other parents in a warm, open and fun environment.

Part 4: With standing, early language, and growing social awareness, babies are entering a whole new stage of development. At this point, we want to make sure they’ve built the foundation they need to stand well - including balance, spinal alignment and coordination between the upper and lower body. We’ll learn fun activities on the floor to strengthen crawling, sitting and the transitions between them, laying a strong base before walking begins. We’ll also address common behavioural challenges at this stage, such as fear of strangers and separation anxiety and explore how to build confidence through movement and joyful play with other baby friends
